Reliable for my app

This was my third time subscribing, I'm on the Professional Plan now. Always been consistent. The Real-time Currency Conversion API has been rock solid for my app's users. Compared to my first yearly subscription, the dashboard improved a little, easier to see usage. Delivery is instant, since it's an API, but their customer service replied quickly when I had a billing question last year. Good value.

Good API, setup was quick

I signed up for the Basic Plan last month. The API was easy to integrate, I was using the Latest Rates Endpoint within an hour. Data seems accurate enough for my needs. Wish the documentation had more examples for different languages, but I got it working.

Anyone know how fixer compares to open exchange rates or currencylayer? using open exchange rates right now but it's getting expensive and wondering if fixer is better.

D Dan Beaumont 4 months ago
I switched from currencylayer a while back. For me, fixer was more stable and their historical data was easier to work with. Pricing was better too for what I needed.

Depends on your usage, but for basic stuff, Fixer is solid. I've used both and found Fixer's documentation a bit cleaner to follow. Haven't hit any accuracy issues with either.

Thinking about signing up for a paid plan. Does fixer api do crypto rates too or just regular money? I want to integrate both if possible.

T Todd C. 4 months ago
Yeah, they added crypto support sometime last year, I think. It's not on all plans, so double check which one you need but it's def an option.

They do! checked it out myself a bit ago. pretty cool, not just the usual fiat stuff. Makes it way more useful imo.
